The top end (Scimitar) leaves me a bit confused by some of the corners being cut (on RAM and M.2 speed) but I may be missing something - not costed up the savings here.

The mid-point option (Ignite) seems set up more for productivity or gaming & streaming than just gaming (CPU overkill relative to GPU for straight gaming)

The budget option (Magma S) is great, yes, it is cheap as chips but for those on a tight budget it is awesome. Knocks about £100 off, giving you a £700 PC for £600, that's a serious percentage saving and opens up PCS options for people who couldn't have got there before.

Must admit, I'm not a fan of any of them. They are all unbalanced in my mind.

Even the latter, cheap option...... it's great to get a bargain but it would be a means to an end IMO. In a few years it would simply go in the bin rather than have room for upgrades.

I'd agree with that, but the same would have been true if they had £700 to spend - it hasn't stopped a low end PC being badly limited but it has made them accessible to quite a few more people

Oh definitely, I never recommend a PC for any less than £900 (ish) when anything remotely like gaming is considered.

Below that I would always suggest a laptop as it's future potential is just as limited but at least it has portability and doesn't need a screen etc to be considered as well.
