New pc build

Hi,

Im building my dream PC for gaming, twitch, music production and some data analyst work/ai. Any thoughts ? My budget is around 4500 and aiming to max out my 4k 144hz monitor, thinking of a 5080gpu or 90 if in budget. I need a lot of storage for games and data.

I would wait for the 9950X3D if you really want all those cores. There's nothing you have mentioned that really merits it though. The 9800X3D would be more than enough for your uses. Analysis may make use of the 32 threads, but you would need to be using very thread heavy processes for it to make sense, I'm guessing you will know better. Noone knows the complexity of the 9950X3D yet, the 7950X3D had some issues recognising games, which would sometimes require some manual intervention to use the 3D Cache CCD for optimisation. If you don't have a specific need for the core heavy chip then the 9800X3D is definitely the go-to, you would need to feed back though.

Other than that, you have the budget to get everything top end. I wouldn't look at the 5090 though, waste of cash. Double the price without giving you anything tangible on your monitor. Save the £1k for the rest of the build or towards the 6080 which will definitely give more performance for likely the same £1k investment.

The build you have selected looks slightly trollish. Don't take offence, it just looks like someone has gone in and maxed the options. This is either someone who doesn't know what they are doing but has a good budget so thinks max price is best choice....... or trolls come on just to mess around. I'll presume innocence at the moment and try to make sensible recommendations than maxing out your wallet. Ironically, some things that don't matter are massively over-specced where the PSU and cooling are drastically under par, 2 of the most important considerations in a build completely overlooked for some bling in unimportant areas.

The case you have chosen is a beauty and I'm not adverse to it. With that being said if the 5000X case was available, I would be going down that route. I've seen them side by side and the 5000X is nicer looking IMO, although the T does have an air of quality to it that is very slighly lacking on the X by comparison.

I've opted for a more sensible storage layout but if you can give some clarity on what you were thinking I can adjust.

So.... buiild. I wouldn't change much of this for myself even if I had a lottery win in honesty.

4080 Super is a placeholder for the 5080, should be similar cash. Just kept it in to show the costing.
