Hi,

I will be upgrading my PC soon, my budget is 1700-2000 which includes VAT,(any less would be a bonus) I already have a monitor(Nvidia Gsync, 165Hz, 2560 x 1440). I currently use a AMD RYZEN CPU and Nvidia Graphics Card.

I use it a lot, for gaming(a few high end games that need a lot of power), work, multi-tasking ect. On a few occasions it has automatically shut down as the CPU as become too hot, due to how much I need to use it,

I also use up a lot of storage, need good RAM, SSD and good cooling system so the above does not happen as often or at all.

Hope anyone can help with some builds for me.

Thank You

About 3/4 years ago I think
What are your current specs? If it's well designed, there would be no benefit to replacing it, just upgrade and you'll get far more performance for the money.

What's your budget for the upgrades?

What make and model monitor are you using?

1st Storage Drive 2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 256MB
CACHE DVD/BLU-RAY Drive NOT REQUIRED

I am using a AGON Nvidia Gsync Monitor 165Htz, 2540 x 1440.

If I would buy a new PC it would be 1700 - 2000 inc VAT. If upgrade anything under that range is fine. Both options for advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yeah there is definitely more life in that machine, you could upgrade the storage to M.2 SSD's and upgrade the GPU and it'll do 1440p no problem

You could plop a 7800XT in there and that PSU should be able to handle it but it will be pushing it but within the limits.

For the M.2's I'd be looking at Gen 4's like a Samsung 980 Pro or the SOLIDGM P44's on the configurator at the minute to get more speed in the storage

Wouldn't hurt to upgrade that Wifi card if you use Wifi too though, that card is ancient something like the AX201 would do the job great
