INTEL is really a poor choice, I'd strongly suggest to cancel the order and seek advice for a suitable, working system for your needs.

So, you'd definitely need to cancel the order and get an AMD 9800X3D, which is less expensive, outperforms Intel, and uses around half the power of the i9 285K.

Yep I'd agree, you can return it and get your money back with no questions in 14 days of receiving it, answer all the questions raised in the post that was posted above, and will help you get good bang for your buck

It’s very easy to cancel, if you aren’t able to do it before it’s despatched, just let PCS know of your intent to cancel and reject the delivery, then you should just incur a small admin fee for the cost to build it (I don’t think this is much), but you’re under full rights to cancel without any reason within 14 days of it being delivered.

Then we can advise on something more suitable

Then you should be able to cancel the order easily.

If you don't want to cancel the order (NOT RECOMMENDED), at least get a premium AIO (360 or 420mm) that can cool that CPU and keep the core from melting: the PCS-branded one is of poor quality and prone to failure, and choose a decent pair of M.2s (Corsair, SolidiGM, Crucial etc) because the 990Pro is more expensive and not reliable.

Just done one with the 9800x3d can't put it up here as it's out of stock so can't click on the bottom and copy paste here.
it's 2k cheaper than the one I have ordered unless I have mucked it up again

Are amd that much cheaper

They are cheaper, but not 2k cheaper, as above just put a placeholder cpu in so you can copy the specs

I think most of the difference is because of the graphics card I picked with the intel one
5090
I wouldn't bother with a 5090; it's the most powerful GPU on the consumer market, but I think it's a waste of money for a pure gaming PC.

Just my personal opinion :)

Yes, it is a considerably cheaper alternative to the 5080 (£500 less) with a significantly better price-performance ratio.

Certainly, the 5080 has better relative performance in 4K, especially if RT is crucial, but I believe @SpyderTracks will be able to provide far more real-world benchmarks with his 9070XT Steel Legend on a Superwide 1440p. :)
