Hi guys, I just put in a new HDD. Just plugged it in and turned my PC on to format it when it wouldn't load windows. I'm not really sure what went wrong here. I touched the edge of my GPU when putting the drive in. Would that have broken something?
Thanks.
Hello Jamed,
there will be a small coin battery on your motherboard. Just carefully take that out and leave it for a couple of minutes and put it back in.
Enter the bios when you turn your PC on again and check to make sure that the boot order is how you want it.
The problem will then be fixed.
Also, just lightly touching the edge of you graphics card on the shroud or heatsink won't do anything unless you are holding a van der graff generator at the same time
