I wasnt to sure where to post this but i was thinking of getting a new hard drive soon and i was wondering (might sound extremely noobish) if i can swap the data over easily with no problems?

There are various ways of doing that, but can you tell us if you're replacing the OS drive or a second hard drive?

In that case you could just copy the data from the second drive to your OS drive for now, assuming there is enough space, then copy it back to the new hard drive. Can't you just add the new drive as a third drive?

Thanks, no because i was going to swap the data over, clear the drive then sell it to a friend.
You could either do it how I suggested then,or just install the new hard drive and copy the data over, then format the drive your selling.
