Thinking about buying a new gaming PC.

This is what I'm considering but I'd like to know what your opinions are and what you'd possibly change about this spec:

(Noticed that a lot of people here in the forums select a 750-850W PSU in their builds, what's that all about as a 450W+ PSU is recommended for me?)

When you build a custom PC you want it to be upgradable down the line. Having a better PSU is part of that (along with other benefits)

If you let us know your budget, what monitor your using and a link so people can make changes we will be able to advise :)

In the mean time I've a couple of things I'd suggest re your storage, I'd increase the M.2 to 512GB, add another PCS M.2 (1TB) and maybe to offset the budget reduce the HDD to 2TB

What sort of games are you planning on playing on this as well? 32GB is a lot of RAM for most applications (16GB typically fine for gaming) - with the exception of Flight Sims and some strategy / citybuilders (I think heavily modded Cities Skylines can use the extra RAM). If it's for more run-of-the-mill gaming then that RAM budget could probably be better spent elsewhere (e.g. PSU)...

I have a £2000 budget, I play on a single ACER monitor (nothing fancy) and I normally play a lot of Arma III but I'd like to play some Flight Sim.

Might I ask the reasoning behind the selection of a 1TB 1st M.2 SSD Drive? Why so much capacity for something that essentially holds the OS?

You mentioned Flight sim and there was a bit of room working to a 2k budget. (Main reason i kept the 32Gb of ram as well)

MSFS 2020 benefits being off an m.2 drive as load times would be very long in comparison on the HDD. It gives you room for windows and flight sim on that drive without impacting performance. (I did the same). (in an ideal would you'd have a 2nd M.2 drive)

Obviously if load times aren't an issue feel free to change :)
