New gaming pc

Hi everyone

I'm planning on getting a new high-end gaming PC for around £1700 that will last for 4-5 years. I may also want to do some video editing on it too.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also have this spec in mind based on feedback I got on here before. I have considered an overclocked PC but am not sure what the benefits/risks are.

For gaming the i7 7700k would generally offer you the better performance. The video editing performance of an OCed 7700k won't be all that far off a stock 6850k either.

For an OCed 7700k I'd suggest the Noctua cooler. If you want a case with a similar aesthetic to the S340, which won't fit the Noctua, then the Fractal Define S would be a good option.

You might prefer to wait for Intel's Skylake-X stuff to be out and see what the pricing is on that. It would seem to offer better performance for video editing than Broadwell-E, and the mobos will have more features like additional M.2 slots.
