New gaming laptop

I think that this build is gonna last me for say like 3-4 years for gaming (games like total war rome 2 skyrim far cry 3 dayz standalone , far cry 4 hen it comes out, batman arkham asylum etc) on high - medium settings on 1080p with 50-60 fps.

I think 4 years at high settings at your requirements is a bit too much. Try checking benchmarks online.

You should probably get the Arctic MX-4 Extreme thermal paste and silver warranty too, for £14 extra these two make a difference.

no i amean high settings for 1-2 years and then med settings is that possible? also as a gaming laptop is it a high or low end ?

i noticed that many laptop monitors have a refresh rate of 60hz so that means that i cant see more than 60 fps in games? so if my gpu can transfer say like 100 fps in a game it is rather pointless? whats your opinion?

You won't get 100fpd on demanding games with the gtx 860m at high or ultra

ok but say that with other games i can run beyond the refresh rate of the monitor will the monitor be able to show more than 60 fps?

I've opted for the 860 gfx in my latest order too and after reading a lot of info and reviews about them we should be fine on high settings for a good few years with maybe the odd game being an exemption. I'd think about adding a SSD to the build as they can make a big difference in gaming load times etc and overall make your system a lot faster.
