I'm looking to buy a computer (spending around £2200-£2400ish, not including a monitor) which in the main will be used for 3D modelling/rendering in Revit, 3DS Max and Maxwell Render (Revit will be the most used software). The below spec is what I've managed to come up with on my very limited computer hardware knowledge and I was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts on it or suggestions for changes.
I think i've chosen components that means over-clocking is an option, however I've no idea how to do this, so do you know if PCS can do it for me, or even if I should bother?
Also, would it be a good idea or even possible to go to 64GB RAM? I preferably want a computer that I don't really have to upgrade and will last me a fair few years.
Would anyone be able to recommend a monitor - around 27-32in and somewhere around £200?
Finally, I have Windows 7 at the moment but it's the cheap home edition so apparently I can't go over 16GB RAM meaning I should get Win 7 Pro or Win 8 Pro. As they're the same price is it better going for one over the other?
