Hey all, it's been a long while, bought my last PC here way back in 2011 and she's still going strong today.. albeit with a few upgrades and tweaks since then.
Anyway, it's getting near that time when I put the old girl into retirement and get me another newer, younger model.
My budget is around £2.5k give or take, I'm looking for a system that'll essentially run anything I throw at it on ultra for a good number years to come (Most of these years filled with playing Cyberpunk 2077 if my Witcher 3 experience is anything to go by), and frankly I'm a little torn.
I'm open to ideas and suggestions, I know I want a top tier GPU, I'm unsure about CPU and mobo, minimum 16GB RAM (Don't think I'd need 32 but again, open to suggestions here) A good SSD possibly around 500GB to 1TB, a basic storage drive probably around 2TB.. I don't need crazy amounts of storage, a basic DVD drive and decent cooling (Preferably water cooled and fairly quiet)
I'm a little behind the times on hardware, I've kept up somewhat but my last full build I did myself had MMX technology if that explains how long ago it was so coming here.. mostly for peace of mind that if something fails I'll be covered and won't have to deal with painful RMA and such.
Any suggestions for builds would be welcome.
Cheers.
