Happy with my specs, as the games I'm playing at the moment aren't power hungry! The main game I'm playing is Lord of the Rings Online (which with my current laptop, overheats and lags big time), will be getting ESO and Diablo 3, Borderlands 2 and more, which my new laptop can run in a breeze :D

I would kick that CPU down to the 2.4Ghz one. Save the nearly £100, I would suggest changing to a different chassis to get a better card with the money saved, but as your happy with the card i would just downgrade the CPU before its built.

I chose the 2.8Ghz as some of the games I'm playing (e.g LoTRO) suggests a recommended cpu of 2.8ghz. While others are 2.4, I like to go above. Also with the laptop I chose I picked the top card, if I wanted a different card I would have to choose a more expensive laptop which I can't afford. I'm happy with what I've got, as I done my research :)

The performance gaming wise with respect to the clock speed depends on the type if processor you have chosen. The i7-4810mq will be a good choice if you are doing more cpu intensive tasks. For gaming, including Lotro, i doubt you will notice a difference between the i7-4700mq and the i7-4810mq.

Note the 4700MQ will turbo boost increasing the clock speed significantly, even with all 4 cores in use it can hit 3.2GHz and a maximum of 3.4GHz on one core.
