Need help limiting speaker volume?
Hey all I will keep this short, I use to use my logitech z906 speakers on my pc and on the pc I could half the volume using pc controls, so lets say I go into sound on my pc set it to 50% volume and then on the z906 I can turn the volume up and down, but whatever volume the speaker is one it will be half of what it normally is since I have the volume halved in the pc settings. bit confusing ikr.
my problem is now I no longer have the speakers hooked up to the pc I have them hooked up to the tv, that no longer lets me limit the volume to 50% so the surround system is twice as loud.
pc > 50% volume > z906 100% using the receiver = at max volume 50% on full volume.
tv > no control over volume all volume is controlled though z906 speakers > z906 100% using the receiver = at max volume 100%
question is is there an external device that can limit my system to only 50% volume capability.
strange question that you will probably not understand but worth a try.
