Absolute....disgrace. Pretty much sums it up.

Hopefully they can patch it like they did for Need for Speed The Run.....but won't hold my breath. I seem to remember they promised it would be running at 60fps on pc, although can't find where at the moment. They now have some sort of excuse about the Easydrive function. Just so poor EA.

Im not sure if this annoys me more, or the fact that at the moment these "next-gen" consoles are struggling in some cases to output 30fps at 720p upscaled to 1080p, let alone 60fps at 1080p. With the hardware they have, they should be able to do it and I only hope that in time developers can improve on this meaning more direct console ports like this wont be quite so erm.....crap.

Hopefully some hex editing may sort this out but im not so sure in this case.

Didn't they say that all the consoles will be optimized to run it at 60fps? So why would they lock it at 30 on PC :S

I still can't wait to get it, I enjoy all the need for speed games even when everyone else says they suck.

Im sorry, but you cant excuse this crap on the pc. Im not saying the game is rubbish. Im sure its alot of fun once you get into it, but its like the dont give a **** about pc players and just throw them any old rubbish.

Hit the nail on the head, surely 1080p 60fps should of been the MINIMUM they were aiming for given the lifespan of the consoles and with 4K TVs set to become more commonplace in the not too distant future. On the PC side of things NVIDIA and AMD are already starting to make the preparations for that, with driver updates coming out right now.

Hopefully it is the usual early optimisation issues and "getting to know" the hardware but given all the talk of this batch of consoles being closer to the PC hierarchy than ever before, will be interesting to see how it pans out.

There aren't many games that have come close to Underground 2's customisation system - sadly I don't think it'll run on 8.1 (The Windows compatibility checker came up negative but I don't know how accurate that is.) otherwise it would be one of the first games I'd be getting when I get my PC. The Crew does look like a promising contender though - that's one I've definitely got an eye on.

Yeah that was a great game, even had Skindred on the soundtrack. If that plays on modern PCs I'll have to pick that up.

The soundtrack actually annoyed me somewhat. All nu metal and materialism-and-misogyny gangsta rap.

Thankfully, the lappy I was playing on at the time had enough system resources to play my vast collection of heavy metal as I was barging around in my bright blue Pontiac GTO.

Also, in the tuning section (which I really, genuinely liked) the explanations of every category began with "Yo." Oh, the exquisite agony.

Most Wanted 2005 was my favourite NFS game. I also liked The Run because it reminded me of crashing horribly at the bad Atari ST port of Out Run when I was a wee kid. I could do without the dodging bullets section though.

The soundtrack did have Killing Joke, Helmet, Queens Of The Stone Age and Ministry on which added a bit of weight amongst the one hit upstarts, I think Mudvayne had been around a while as well.

The tuning section was actually really deep for an arcade racer - you had torque curves and everything. I can't say I really knew exactly what I was doing but the whole test track and dyno set up made it easier to see the effect your changes had.

One of my favourite parts of any Need for Speed game is always the soundtrack, it always gets me into a new artist/band everytime a game is released.

Anyway guys I've been playing it today and think its great fun, but then again, I love the Need for Speed games that everyone else hates on.

EasyDrive is a great idea and being able to instantly start races or chases with real opponents instantly is awesome, with no loading screens, graphics are great although not that much better than Most Wanted, but I must agree that 30fps lock was a stupid idea and I can feel the difference, especially when turning corners, luckily the motion blur stops a lot of it.

I think my most annoying experience though is either the long unskippable tutorials at the start or the host migration occuring quite regularly (like CoD on console). Both could have been easily changed really.

I still recommend it to anyone who enjoys arcade racer games

Hmm, I might get it and give it a go but I'll wait for the first round of patches to come out methinks.

I didn't think anything much about this game when it was first announced. But after watching some gameplay this week, I'm absolutely amazed by the graphics and gameplay.!

Out of those, definitely hot pursuit

The lag seems to be quite bad at the moment as well, whenever I'm chasing down a real player their car is jumping all over the place and i cant hit them
