I would change the case to either haf 912 plus or cooler master 690 II advanced,
2. the motherboard you've selected is perfect for your needs and gear.
3. 8gb is slighlty overkill, but it is being future proof so if your budget allows 8gb then stick with 8gb
4. Its only worth is if you care about loading times, boot up times and etc, I would prefer to have a 120gb ssd and another drive for storage, but that would be more expensive
5. If you are not planing to go sli(add another gtx580) then I would change the power supply to the hx750 or tx750.
6. The cooling you've selected is enough, but I would go for the titan fenrir evo as its only £20 more
7. I don't think that more free room on harddrive would improve gaming.
8. The best soundcard can cost you up to £150, if its only for music than an asus xonar would be a better option but if its for gaming and music then the one you've selected is ok.

If you will be buying another gtx580 for sli then you should go fo hx1050 or maybe you could get awat with the tx850,
I had expierence with both the cm 690 II and haf 912 plus and both are great cases and that's why I'm recommending them, but the nzxt is an ok case however these cooler master cases are better in my opionion
The hx series are modular and in mid tower cases modular are psu are very useful as the cables which are not is use can be disconnected, less cables=better cable management=better airflow, and these also have better efficiency.
If this spec is for gaming there is no reason to gor for the i7.
