Need a little help please :)

Trying to find what it is I can upgrade, without costing to much, and I know very little, so please bare with me....My mobo is socket 1155, ASUS® MAXIMUS IV EXTREME-Z: INTEL Z68 ROG MOTHERBOARD, I have an i72600k CPU...I would like to know if I can upgrade to this CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K 4GHz Socket 1150 8MB L3 Cache...Like, just a take out of old, CPU and put in the upgraded one, and keeping all other hardware. and would that be a good upgrade from what I have already? thanks

You would need a new mothernoard for the i7-4790k. Whether is worth the upgrade depends on your intended use. For most uses it wouldn't be a significant upgrade

That's a shame, I use a PC for gaming mostly,(driving Sims) with just surfing the web a close second, I did also add two more Dell u2711's, so I run 7842x1440 (bezel correct) triple screens, I get around 60/65 FPS depending on game, track, and how many cars...Thanks for your response
