My PC Keeps overheating

Hey i have a issue on my hand where my pc keeps overheating

Everytime i start to play a game my CPU Gets to about 60°C-65°C and for the past few days the pc is getting that hot it just turns it of, i have installed 3 other fans into my computer to try and sort the problem but it don't seem to be working. i clean my pc out every month or so, so there shouldn't be a dust issue.

i think i need a better cpu cooler but when i go and upgrade my pc on the site there is only the stock cpu cooler which i don't want. i have the Super Quiet 22dBA Cooler for my cpu and the only other product that is there is this water cooling one which i differently don't want could i just go to amazon or something and order a decent cpu cooler there and fit it or wouldn't it be compatible?

This is a serious problem as i do play games like battlefield 4 and i can only play about 10-15 minutes of it before me cpu gets over 60°C

Thanks

Might be worth applying new thermal paste to see if that helps before buying another cooler.

i would rather upgrade my CPU Cooler as this one seems tacky compared to CPU's i have seen so i would rather upgrade my cpu cooler. but i don't know what cooler to get as i don't know if they have to be the right size and stuff?

lol, what parts have you upgraded? that is a pretty small case you've got there. Prima facey, i'd suggest it may be the low end case.

ok, what exactly is overheating? the cpu or the gpu?

how have you got your case fans setup? front/bottom intaking and top/rear exhausting?

I Have 1 on the side and 1 on the other side then 1 at the front and 1 at the back and its the CPU that is over heating

Temperature is not bad i got i5 4670k and while i gaming i got 60C if i go over 90C i start to be scary about overheating , maybe you need just repasting , check if cpu cooler spining while you turn on computer, bios seting for safety temperature to shut computer down , any warning message message PC turn of overheating or something else, or just you are in game and computer turn off?

Edit:Ok 60C for your cpu is to high max operating is 74C ... CPu benchmark show max temp in load 45C ....check termal paste or is cpu cooler sit on right place no lose or anything

are these fans intaking or exhausting? ie which ones are pulling air into the system? and which ones are exhausting/pushing air out of the system? It is important to have them balanced correctly, otherwise cooling may be affected.

The other day I took my cpu of and cleaned it out and I just have happend to notice there wasn't that much thermal paste so I orderd some more to see if that would help

The triple copper heatpipe is more than adequate to keep that APU cool, I should know I've got both in my backup rig. The thermal paste should help a lot if there wasn't very much contact with what's on there.

+1

Unless its a dodgy installation or the fan isnt spinning up to speed.

What settings are you running BF4 at? An A10-5800 and a GTX660 aren't exactly the type of specs that will breeze through that game.

I can run bf4 on medium with a 630 lol and the cpu fan is running how it should and It isn't that hard to install it lol so I doubt it is a dodgy installation just gotta wait for the thermal paste to come should of come today but it didn't.

tbh, i'm doubtful that it is the thermal paste.

you spoke of your fans earlier, how have you got them setup? by that i mean intakes and exhausts?

Ok so I added the thermal paste and my cpu has gone down to about 50 c, when I first got my pc the cpu stayed round about 29 c could this be a cpu cooler failure?

It's not the paste mate, if you put decent paste on, and only a small amount. I'm putting money on it being your fan setup.

Yes if its heatpipe cooler yes, i got one with 1heatpipe failture and cooler lose cooling efficiency , maybe some of your near friend got same socket board and you can try different cooler in your rig
