I was thinking about it for a few days, whether the PSU would be powerful enough as well.
I just changed it to CORSAIR 850W PSU (TX850)

Very nice setup, you open for some comments though?

The I7-980X is a massively expensive CPU, nearly £700 more expensive than the I7-930. Do you need such a powerful CPU? If not you could possibly save some money there and allow you to get a GTX480 graphics card which is better than the GTX465 you have in your quote. And as you've gone for a water cooler you could buy a cheaper CPU and over clock it a bit if you're comfortable with that...

Although if money isn't an issue then you could up your card to the GTX480 and leave the CPU as it is

Just my opinion anyway feel free to dismiss in a fireball of doom.

If this is intended as a gaming rig, sweeney is talking a lot of sense.

This is indeed a really good point. I also agree with Sweeny.

Of course I am open to a few comments - thats the whole point in the forum.
I agree the CPU is fairly expensive, but at the same time it is more easier to swap graphics cards than it is to swap CPUs in my honest opinion. I can upgrade the graphics card in a few months if needed, and still put the 465 to use in another computer in my house (either my 2 brothers or parents). I do not see it as a waste of money.
I would have upgraded to the 480 - but for the games I am currently playing it is not needed.

I am currently using an AMD.. They use to be the kings but for now it is all about Intel!

well at least you have some logic behind your choice. I personally would still downgrade it a little, that CPU will last for years but then again, my current Q6700 is likely to as well ;)

Hmm, I guess you have a good point Craig. Well I'm sure your choice will keep you happy.

Since i've had it i have had a few problems with it, but nothing major;

after installing windows updates and shutting down for a night, windows would just NOT start at all, in safe mode, after repair or even after system restore. had to reinstall windows but its working fine now.

another problem is with the headphone jack at the front, the problem is i can not insert a headphone properly, the jack just simply doesnt sit in, and if i push it in, it just ends up popping back out??
anything i can do to solve this? it works fine in the back but sometimes need to use headphones so rather use the front than back.

Can you send us a picture of this? This could be something and nothing or a manufacturing fault with Antec...

I've just tried taking a picture when I got home - and for some reason its just not happening now(the popping out). I still have to put a bit of force to actually put the headphones in (im pretty sure ive never pushed so hard, i mean a little bit but this is kinda forcing it in)

before i force it in

after i force in

it is very weird, dont know what the problem was.

Sounds like it's just a tight connection to me, or perhaps an anomaly. It the problem re-occurs or gets worse just let us know :)

Hi, i think the harddrive is faulty or something.

Now, this has happened 3 times in about 5 days, for some reason when I shut the computer down, it fails to load into windows, it gets completely locked out, and the only way to sort it out is to reinstall. none of the recovery seems to work (system restore etc), I made a system image a few days ago but that doesn't even load. I don't know what the problem is, or how to sort it out.

Any suggestions?

I did install windows updates one of the times, then restarted, and it would not load, but the other 2 times I'm not sure what has happened, didnt install any update.

Now, when I'm trying to reinstall its having some problems saying Windows Setup is starting.... and a loading mouse, but nothing seems to happen after this.
Will ring up Tech Support later at least.

Managed to get W7 setup booting, by using Windows XP Setup disc, formatting and then trying. I still think Windows will crash in a few days though.

Hi Craig,

If you boot from the W7 DVD, it will give you an option to "Repair my PC". In here you will be able to run a Windows Memory Test - this is well worth giving a go. Secondly, what brand of HDD do you have in your PC? If you go into the BIOS, it should give you a model number which we can use to find the brand. Once we know this, we will be able to point you towards a HDD Diagnostics Test to test the HDD for faults.
