Awesome laptop, I bet you're chuffed. Have you tested out the dual r9 m290x's yet? I can't decide between the two amd cards or paying the extra £350 to get the epic dual 880m's :/

Chuffed l am ELL, l'v never really been a laptop person as l mainly use my PC for gaming and laptops weren't (or should l say never used to be) up to the task. so since getting this l have been amazed by how far they have come, it really is a little demon! I think it gives my desktop a run for its money lol
Yeah l have been putting it through its paces and nothing seems to faze it, it has been running everything silky smooth (which is always good!) :) to be honest l have always been more of an AMD/ATI man when is comes to graphics, they are just better quality in my opinion and AMD seem to be more on the ball with their driver update when something isn't working as it should, say with a new game release. They also seem to give you a bit more scope for OC'ing if that is your thing (l don’t plan to with the limited airflow of a laptop though lol) and l think Nvidia tend to over charge for what their stuff is (but this is just my thoughts) so l don't think you can go wrong with the 2 AMD cards ;)

Awesome sauce, these machines truly have moved forwards in terms of gaming capabilities but I think I'll keep my cards at stock speeds when I get my laptop. As for which cards I'll be choosing, well I guess I have some more deciding to do before I take the plunge. The amd cards certainly have the best bang for your buck but the Nvidia cards have performance comparable to the desktop 780 ti at the cost of an extra slice of your wallet :p

Hey fro, just wondering do you have to use both supplied power bricks when using this laptop?

Hiya ELL, sorry only just saw your post. during normal usage you can just run it on one, but if you game with crossfire/sli enabled then yes you need both power leads connected :)
