Hey people on the forum,

For a while I've been fantisicing about getting an all-powerful top-specs laptop from PCS, then I talked to my friend and he's turned my plan on its head!

He says go for an iMac, get quality hardware from a big trusted company. I thought no, you can't get the top specs from Apple, but he said, it's not about the hardware it's about the experience, la di da di daa.

Now I'm no good at supporting my argument, so you guys please tell me why I should get a laptop from PCS instead of an iMac!!!

isnt an imac a full pc Hub? macs aint all that. its just a different OS with flexibility in multimedia and thats it, everything else doesnt really impress me especially the last time when i opened a faulty 1 up to see some unpleasent components put in for the price they sell them for. :hammer:

May be trusted but make sure you realize that generally when a company is big other factors take over from what a company was originally aiming for such as customer satisfaction.
I am a customer and am totally satisfied with the experience i have received from PCS. I havent had any problems however and that hasnt given PCS the opportunity to offer the service i have seen them provide to others where when something does go wrong they are very quick to respond and get everything back to normal :).
I do have the satisfaction that i have not been ripped off by apple as the components when compared to a PC of the same cost are just not of the same standard.

If you scroll down to gormans first post on page 3 then you can see an example where apple think they can charge an extra $205 for a hdd that probably costs less than $95

Apples are for eating, macs are for wearing (yes i could of put something else there), and PC's are for everything you need to do that involves computing end of ;)

Overly Priced. especially the ATA drives which are not soo great standard drives compared to a wd caviar black, or yet caviar green lool. Same goes for their graphics card.

the 6970 or 580 is 1457350723572x better than the 5870 lol

Im just wondering what kind of SSD they using for that price? seems like a PCI-E type SSD from ocz for that price?

Ok thank you everyone! I don't want a mac anymore, because they're dead expensive and there's not enough software for them! Any more points will still be appreciated.

You would also have to purchase and consistently wear a black turtle neck sweater, which to be honest, really doesn;t sound very appealing :D

Then, there is the complete lack of open source products for OSX.
Not all games come out on MAC. i.e Brink :)
