My first PC after switching from Mac, thought?

This is my first custom PC order after having used Mac’s products over the last decade.

Main use is some gaming, office work and general home use purposes.

Budget was around £1,000-1,100 with the monitor, but I decided to upgrade some parts to more durable parts, like the cooling, psu and the M.2 SSD, so ended up around £1,200, but I hope the quality will be worth.

This looks reasonable for the budget?

its not bad, theres a few things i would change though

Case - i'd pick one with better airflow.

CPU - the 5600x is one of the best CPU's available right now for both gaming and productivity

Storage - Id go with the Firecuda, m.2 you'll have to sacrifice a little space but it's much faster.

Cooling - no need for additional cooling the stock AMD fan is great (comes with theemal paste preapplied) and will do just fine. If additional cooling is a must for you then look at liquid cooling.

Warranty - Silver gets you a lot more for an extra £5

i'd be looking at a build more along these lines.

I’ve ordered a PC with the RX 5600 XT in it and I’ve read the older released of 5600XT need to get their VBIOS updated.

i wonder what version/made of 5600 XT PCS provides, and will the card get the VBIOS update before shipping if they happen to need one?

Any firmware will be updated as required when configuring the PC.
