Looks great for your uses - you're gonna freak out at the speed compared to your old pentium!

Should be fine for all of the above. I would suggest cutting to 8 (2x4) GB RAM, as 16GB is overkill for general applications. With that saved cash, go for the 2.7GHz quad core processor. You can upgrade RAM at a later date, but you can't the processor, so it's best to go for a better processor over more RAM at this moment in time. Another option would be to select the gold warranty.

I disagree - the 2.4ghz proc has turbo boost up to 3.4ghz when it's needed, and those extra 300mhz won't make a noticeable difference. 16gb ram is useful especially doing heavy video editing. Normally 8gb is enough, but if you're doing videos 16gb is a good idea.
