My first build.

I don't know what I'm doing here, but I'm thinking of building my own PC mainly for gaming. I'm looking to spend around the £1100/£1200 mark and maybe a couple of hundred extra if the performance leap is justifiable. I'd like to be able to play something like Battlefield 1 at around 60fps on med-high. I've spec'd something below if someone could take a look at it, I've included an SSD for my operating system. I have no idea how good the case, motherboard power supply are etc. in terms of future proofing. Obviously I'd like to upgrade in the future so I assume a half decent motherboard etc are essential.

Anyway heres my spec, feel free to reconfigure or reccomend anything else I'm all ears.

Thanks guys.

A bigger and different SSD like the samsung EVO or SM961. You could also consider upgrading the PSU to have more room for future upgrades.

I'd agree with the above.

I'd also suggest a better case. That Sharkoon has only 2 fan mounting points and the front one is somewhat obstructed by the HDD cage. So if temps were an issue, now or with any future upgrades you make, there'd be not much you could do about it. One forum user with that case and a high end system took to having the side panel off as they didn't like the temps.

The configurator actually gives you a warning about this if you try to proceed with the Sharkoon and the Apache case fans, but for some reason doesn't stop you from proceeding (unlike if you pick the regular fans, where it is impossible to proceed with the order).

The Inwin G7, Zalman Z11, and Inwin GT1 are all decent choices and not too much more expensive.

I'd also go for a better motherboard like the Z270H at least as it has an overall better feature set features like USB 3.1, more sata ports, better onboard sound, etc.
