mSATA SSD question

I have a question about mSATA for 17.3" Cosmos II. There are 2 SATA ports + 1 mSATA.
Is the mSATA SSD is visible as standard hard drive , unlike in DELLs, where it's used as cache.
I have my own SSD and 2.5 SATA HD and the best configuration for me would be one without drives at all.

I would like to install clean system on my own mSATA SSD, and add 2.5 HDs as data storage only.

Is it possible to order such configuration ?

As far as I know it is possible to have the mSATA as the primary drive. For an official response you should contact PCS directly.
