Motherboard selection

I would like anyone that knows to tell me the benefits of the more expensive motherboards from asus, compared with their cheapest. Of course disregarding the option of SLI and CrossFire down the line. I know the don't yield better performance for your system, is it just features? and it so, could you tell me specifically which features so I can decide if I need them? Thanks in advance

Yeah, that just what I figured. I'll read up on them a bit more
