Motherboard help please

Hello all

I had my motherboard sorted as:
ASUS® P8H67-M LX SI: MICRO ATX MAINBOARD, LG 1155, SATA 6.0Gb/s

However for my price range the choice now seems to be between the above and :

ASUS® P8H61 (NEW REV 3.0): ATX, USB 2.0, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 3 x PCI

The price is virtually identical so can anybody help me choose the best one for my purposes

My uses will be video processing and 2d/3d animation and Unreal Engine and the rest of the spec will include

Micro ATX will be fine for your needs but be aware that if you come to upgrade any components in the future you'll need to make sure they're compatible with the mobo.

Personally I'd go for the P8H61 for upgrade ease

The P8H61 use the H61 chipset which is slightly inferior to the H67. There are no sata 6gb ports on the P8H61 board so your black 6gb drive will be wasted. Also it only has 2 dimm slots for your ram so limited upgrade potential. It is however an atx board so does have more pci slots.

Oh I didn't know, guess I should do more research
Learn something new every day so they say.
In this case, if you were after the Black Drive specifically I'd take the micro-atx H67.

many thanks to both of you for your help - I see the link with the HD now and with processing speed/power so important for video processing it looks like the micro wins the day especially as I am not really an upgrader
