What is the difference between the Samsung 1600MHz Sodimm DDR3 Memory RAM and the Kingston Hyper-X Genesis 1600MHz Sodimm DDR3 Memory RAM apart from the price?

Can someone also tell me the main differences between these two chassis: the 17.3 Optimus IV and the 17.3 SkyFire II? (apart from the price)

Is it just the case that the 17.3 SkyFire II has a better web cam and better built in speakers?

Thanks

The external heatsink on the HyperX is the only difference. CL timings should be equal, given that we have reached the limits of current generation DDR3 RAM.

As has been mentioned by jusset, Optimus IV has the Kepler (current Nvidia GPU generation) GTX 660M, which is integrated into the motherboard of the notebook, thus not replaceable. SkyFire II has the option for GTX 675M, which is Fermi - a previous generation card built on 40 nm production process.

While both have a codename starting with GTX 6x0, but they're not of the same generation, or architecture.

The GTX 660M is more modern, has better driver support, various features like Adaptive Vsync, various new hardware acceleration features for very high resolution video playback, a new type of Anti-Aliasing by Nvidia and more efficient power management, coutesy of a 28 nm technological process in the heart of the GPU. Here are the benchmarks for both,

As you can see, the raw performance difference is at most 10-15% across the board in favour of the Fermi GTX 670/5M.
