That's some flex for Samsung to be fair. That's quite a distance they have came in the panel market in a very short period of time.

It did have the usual (dpe Samsung certainly) early firmware issues, but it sounds like they've really sorted that on the OLED G8. All their ultrawides and superwidws to date have had issues like scan lines or poor HDR on release, and then they've issued firmware updates to rectify.
On my G9, I think we're up to about firmware version 16 now, which is an extreme amount for a monitor!
It does sound like they're doing a lot better with the current offerings though.
