Minecraft 0 fps problem

Okay so everytime I play minecraft... which isn't very often I play for about 5 minutes and after that time it hit's like 1 too 0 fps and won't stop... shouldn't be having this problem with an i5 but can anyone let me know if they've had this problem and how too fix it.

I don't need optifine, I go like 80 fps constant on full graphics but as soon as i've been on it for about 10 minutes, it hits 1 - 0 fps and alternates and wont stop

run a clean install of Java.
I believe if you download the latest java the advanced options have a clean install option.

Also make sure your installed the correct java, 32bit or 64bit

Hmm I had this problem before I actually restored my computer, it's the same after, I should probably add this is while using the technic launcher and playing voltz, but I will do what you said

Let me know how it goes, there is a bat file you can create to dedicate ram to a minecraft server and use a specific Java, maybe it will work on the client as well so let me know how java re-install goes and I can help with the bat file if needed.

Hey man, it worked! because I was downloading on a 32 bit explorer, java assumed that my computer was 64 bit! had a look through there files and got the 64 bit download, hooray
