I'd strongly recommend going in quite a different direction. First, the display. I would certainly recommend upgrading, but I'd be cautious about a 32" 1440p display as the pixel density is relatively low. I'd suggest a 27" instead: it will be much sharper.

Second, for the PC itself I'd be inclined to go with Ryzen 7000 instead of Intel. There's not a massive difference in terms of performance, but the efficiency and upgradability of the Ryzen chips is unparalleled.

Here's the system I'd suggest for you:

Case
CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.0GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5) To bring the price down you could get the 7700 instead; it'll be about as good today, but may be a little less future-proof (though it could easily be upgraded)
Motherboard

ASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (DDR5, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s)
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card
12GB AMD RADEON™ RX 6750 XT - HDMI, DP - DX® 12 The more expensive option would be the 6950XT
Graphics Card Support Bracket

NONE (BRACKET INCLUDED AS STANDARD ON 4070 Ti AND ABOVE)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
500GB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 530 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 3000MB/W) Fast boot drive
1st M.2 SSD Drive

2TB INTEL® 670p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 3500MB/sR | 2700MB/sW) Lots of game storage
Power Supply

CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Lots of power capacity (could be reduced to 850W to save a little cash)
Power Cable

1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
PCS FrostFlow 150 Series High Performance CPU Cooler Enough for either the 7700 or the 7800X3D
Thermal Paste

STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
ONBOARD 2.5Gbe LAN PORT
USB/Thunderbolt Options
MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS

Thank you so much for the advice - I really appreciate. I've made some adjustments and just wondered what you thought now. I've noted beside each part where I've made changes.

Case
CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE (Had to change the case to fit the 6950XT)
Processor (CPU)

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.0GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME B650-PLUS (DDR5, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card
16GB AMD RADEON™ RX 6950 XT - HDMI, DP - DX® 12 (Opted for both the more expensive CPU and GPU)
Graphics Card Support Bracket

NONE (BRACKET INCLUDED AS STANDARD ON 4070 Ti AND ABOVE)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 530 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 7300MB/R, 6000MB/W) (I only needed 1 SSD to save on money - I don't keep a lot installed)
Power Supply

CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET (PCS prompted me that this would be enough power with a 20% window still)
Power Cable

1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
Corsair H100x Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler (Opted for more cooling)
Thermal Paste

STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
ONBOARD 2.5Gbe LAN PORT
Wireless Network Card
WIRELESS INTEL® Wi-Fi 6E AX210 2,400Mbps/5GHz, 300Mbps/2.4GHz PCI-E CARD + BT 5.0 (I added a wireless card and swapped the motherboard to a non-wifi version as this saved money - unsure if this is wise?)
USB/Thunderbolt Options

MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS

The other thing with the drive is that a full SSD is slower than a mostly empty one. For an operating system drive this is really important. For a games drive it's less crucial. So having them separate allows you to use your drives much more efficiently – to fill up your games drive and still have a snappy operating system.

OK so, taking all your advice into consideration I've come up with the following: (Had to lower the graphics card to keep in budget - but I figure this could be amended years down the line)

Case
CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.0GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)

When the upgradeability of the AMD chips is mentioned, what is meant by this exactly?
AMD is now on the AM5 platform, the first generation on that platform, but it's been promised support through 2025 at the minimum so will support another 2 or 3 generations of CPU.

Intel 13th gen is on the same platform as 12th gen, but that's now a dead platform, 14th gen is a new socket with different pin layout so won't fit. Intel also are famous for only ever supporting 2 generations per socket and forcing a new socket even though the chip design may not have changed. They're evil no-gooders that we poo poo.
