Hi folks - considering a new pc to replace my 5 year old machine (see signature) and came up with the above - not bothered about overclocking, so the 4690 (without the K) should be fine; onboard sound and networking options will be sufficient and a standard DVD drive and Thermal paste will round it out with Win7 64 bit. The specced power requirement is 370-ish w.

Main concern is the GPU - I understand that 4GB AMD R9 380s are around the same performance mark, but I generally prefer Nvidia gear. Other than that...is there anything glaringly off anyone can spot?

Hi; that spec comes in at between £800 - 900 so there is some leeway. I'd definitely be keeping it below £900 though; at the moment I'm more just wondering if there's anything that's an obvious faux-pas with that spec.

You've got an extremely expensive motherboard that's designed for quad sli which I'm guessing you'll never be using. You could drop down to the z-97p saving you £70 then up the graphics to the GTX970 for £76, so you'll be about the same cost but a lot more graphics power.
