Mcafee on virus protection.

John Mcafee founder of the intrusive malware protection software has broken a fifteen year silence since he left the company with a Hugh Hefner style instruction video for anybody still plagued by auto updates. The following video is not safe for work and shouldn't be viewed by children or anybody without the capacity for laughter.

This brightened my day after the death of two my heroes, Big T & Ian Banks.

Enjoy.

I use McAfee?

:(

I've never had a problem with it. The irony comes when halfway through that video I get a "You're McAfee Software has just updated!" window pop up... lol.

I've been using McAfee for a long time, and I've had less problems from it than the likes of Kaspersky or Norton in the past. But I was incredibly annoyed when they put automatic renewal in place of my subscription, I'm not sure if I missed it being mentioned, or if they failed to let me know, but I found that they had charged me £50 for a renewed subscription (funny enough, that very day I had paid for a pizza delivery, and thought the place tried to get away with a huge over charge), when at the time there was a 50% discount for the exact one they charged me for, and the payment was taken from a long since cancelled debit card. I got a refund for it, at least.

Other than that, it scans seemlessly for me, and I only notice its updates when it's applying/just applied and letting me know they're installed successfully.
