mail applications?

Hi all!!!
I was just wondering once I make the switch from apple - windows, is there any mail applications out there that are reliable and as nice to use as mail for mac? If there is one thing I will miss about mac its mail. thats the only thing I will miss but anyhow just wondering? or do I need to do what I use to do and log into gmail / messenger and get my mail for there > hate that way take forever and ya it just sucks? also im interested to know what you guys use? thanks all.

You going windows 7 or 8?

8 has a mail application that i find really good.

If your with windows 7 you can get Outlook with Office products i think.

ah thank you I will check that out as well

edit: just logged into my hotmail account to re-try the software and I find hotmail has been upgraded to outlook for free :d looks a lot cleaner and nicer and I will not have a problem using it
