Lite-on Blueray recorder and Cyberlink BD Solutions

I have recently took possession of my new PC which includes Lite-on Blueray recorder and Cyberlink BD Solutions.

Unfortunately it will not play a Blueray or 3D Film, although a DVD is no problem.

It says it cannot access the storage device, asks me to select the region twice and freezes.

I have upgraded the Cyberlink BD Solutions to Cyberlink POWER DVD Ultimate and upgraded the Lite-on Blueray Drive iHBS112 2 firmware to CLOK.

I have attached the error messages.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi JakAttack, thanks for such a prompt response.

I upgraded the Cyberlink BD Solutions, The Ultimate Playback & Burning Suite for Blu-ray Disc (v6) to the Power DVD10_UltraUpgrade_fromUltra_1830_DVD100611-07.

Hope that's what you were asking for.

OK, a few things to tell us.

1) can you run the cyberlink bd advisor
2) can you tellus what sata port the drive is plugged into
3) have you tried more than 1 blu ray disc.

1) Cyberlink advisor passes everything on both Blu-ray and 3D
2) According to the BIOS the Blu-ray player is on SATA port 5
3) I do not have another Blu-ray disk, but have borrowed Disney's 'A Christmas Carol' which has both 3D and Blu-ray disks. The disks definitely work elsewhere. I'm reticent to purchase Blu-Ray disks until I know my system is working.

Is there a setting(S) in the BIOS I should be aware of?

The firmwareware of the Lite-on device is up to date, as is the PowerDVD 10 Ultra.

Thanks for your assistance.
