Lenovo AIO - can I use the screen with a new desktop?

Hi all, so my trusty Lenovo has finally slowed down after 9 years of use, and I want to replace it. It has a 22 inch touch screen that is in amazing condition - and it seems a waste to bin this! Am I able to somehow buy a new desktop and use the screen from this still? I have tried to find an answer online and some have said yes, some say no. I have limited knowledge so I don't want to buy a new desktop tower then it doesn't work with the old screen. ( I'll just buy a new AIO if this is the case)

There is an HDMI slot on the back - but I can't tell if this is input or output! (have attached pic)

It looks to be HDMI out (the arrow goes out of circle, not into it), which would be to connect another display.

AIOs are always a compromise, as there‘s no upgrade path..it’s all or nothing.

An equivalent monitor might only be £100, so there’s not a huge cost difference between a desktop with or without a new monitor. For example…

Ah OK thank you for your reply. I hadn't considered that a monitor would be that cheap, so that is another option to weigh up. Thank you
