I have made a couple of changes for you.

1) CPU - The 645 isn't the greatest CPU, if you got £1200 budget I'd rec getting a better one.

2) GPU - I would always get the best single GPU you can get in your budget. Then you have scope to upgrade in the future. Remember, SLi does not double performance in games.

3) SSD - don't offer great value for money. You'd be better of getting a standard HDD and use spare cash elsewhere, better CPU?

4) PSU - not powerful enough for SLi GTX465's. The one I have selected will support an extra GPU in future.

thanks for the response. there was one other thing that i was wondering.
would it be better to go with the 22" HD monitor, or the 24" DVI monitor for the same price, both at the same screen resolution. i have heard that getting an HD monitor is pointless because the DVI looks exactly the same, but im not sure.
what do you think?

Both monitors support HD, but one is ultra thin (LED backlight) and the other is CCFL backlight so thicker. Generally LED monitors will have a longer lifespan and look better as they're ultra thin.
