Is it just office type stuff for work? Also when you say low end gaming, do you mean modern games on minimum settings or older games on decent settings?

More oriented to general use, but I do tend to play games like Minecraft.

I like the look of your 2nd spec. Probably only need 250gb HD and would like an i5.

The i5 is (from memory) about 25% faster than the i3. if you can stretch to the 2nd one that it will be better, maybe even too good for minecraft to be honest. The first one will play minecraft no problems.
