Laptop for Photo/Video Editing

Hi, I was wondering if my chosen specs are sufficient for photo/video editing for hobby use? - or can I do it for less money?
I do have a desktop for when I'm 'working' for hours on a project.
Plus - is it worth waiting for a 'touch screen'? I know it's a daft question, as it will be personal choice. It's just that Windows 8 is here to stay.
Thankyou for any advice
PS I don't play games-not even 'patience':turned:

Had to remove the SSD and replace it with a hybrid drive. The hybrid drive has a small SSD that it automatically saves your most accessed files on so it starts up quickly and any programs you use often are also on the drive. Or you could skip the BluRay drive and buy an external one and have the SSD and a HDD. The other downgrades are the processor, very slightly slower because it is 1 generation behind but by my calculations is only 7% slower so you would never really notice for your uses. The GPU is much weaker but because your not gaming it wont matter at all.

Other option to save about £50 is downgrade to the Optimus IV. But the spec above is the only significant saving to be made without slashing away performance.
