Laptop battery wear level

Hi all, just a quick query.

Took delivery of my Cosmos II today, happy so far - just installing everything

I ran HWMonitor and it says wear level is already 4% and I've only had it a few hours. Anybody know why this may be? I only ask as my old Lenovo with its great software for protecting the battery had 1-2% tops wear after a couple of years.

My level on my Cosmos II used to be ~98% when I first checked, then ~97% a few weeks ago, now it's 99.1%. I don't know why or how. I guess time will tell. :stuart:

I wouldn't be overly concerned about it. I would take % estimates on battery wear spat out by software as only a rough indication.

Might be worth running the battery flat then charging it back up again to see if that helps, sometimes it get a bit out of sync, but anyway unless you are really noticing a short battery life its probably fine.

Must be a reporting issue, having run the laptop for a while now the actual mWh full charge capactiy has increased and wear is down to 3%. Odd.
