L.A Noire Patching/Sound issues

So i've bought LA Noire but having some problems with the game. Just in-game, the music backing tracks and sound is fine, its the dialogue in cut-scenes or when conversations are going on in-game, you can barely hear the characters! Any solutions muchly appreciated!

That happened to me in black ops 2. Not sure what te problem was but you are not alone.

I have scouted about the internet and tried a few things:

Validate steam cache files (which i've done so many times up to now) , 1 file keeps coming up as "failed" all the time... but its not stating what failed or whats missing?
Re-installed the whole game
Exited Steam and restarted PC

Any help would be appreciated, I just cant play this game without its dialogue!
