Keepsafe - What Exactly Is It?

I just received my vary first custom built labtop from PCSpecialists.

I notice there is a piece of software called Keepsafe installed on it. When I click on the shortcut it gets me to scan my fingerprint and then it just opens up "my Computer".

What exactly is Keepsafe?

I have Keepsafe on my phone, it basically stores all the pictures that I wouldn't want somebody getting their hands on...

I didn't know that PC Specialist would ship their laptops with it on but I can only assume it's used on a laptop for secure storing i.e. if you have any documents/pictures/videos that you wouldn't want somebody seeing, store them in Keepsafe as it sounds like it will require your fingerprint to access them.
