is this spec a good match?

Hi. Have made an order for a pc and wanting to know if people would suggest any changes. I am looking for a moderately good pc to play flight sims and general use. Note I am a blind user, we have screenreading programs and everything, but this does mean I can turn graphics on games way down since they don't matter to me, so although the graphics card may be a bit weak for flight sims I think it will be more than enough with my settings down. I wanted a quiet pc with moderately good cooling, since with graphics down I don't expect to be ramming my components. If anyone has this case, could you describe in as much detail for me how to remove the side panel to remove the foam and things like that, since I'll be doing that myself and have no sight. Don't really want to spend more on this, but if there's any recommended upgrades I would consider it since I want this to last for years into the future.

Welcome to the forum! There's a few changes I'd make to this build that I've listed out

Change the Ryzen 7 to a Ryzen 5 5600X, the Ryzen 5 is a great chip for gaming and the Ryzen 7 isn't necessary
Change the RAM to 32gb 2x16gb 3200MHz speed
The Graphics card is a perfect choice
You may find 1TB a bit limiting space wise but for ease I've kept it to that. If you wanted more space we could change for a slower but larger drive
I have upgraded the Power Supply to a RMx 750W
I'd also suggest upgrading to the Silver warranty for only £5
The new price with those changes is £1449

You will need to call PCS, unfortunately very long wait times at moment. I think they can transfer it, if not would need to cancel and place new order.

okay thanks. Is there any way to move my current order over there since I've already paid for it.
I'm not sure, I don't think so. You might have to contact PC Specialist. If you do E-mails will take a few days to respond to and unless you call them when they open, call queues could last a few hours before you get to someone

will give them a call and have them make the changes to a 5600X. is 3200mhz enough, saw some people saying moving up to 3600mhz doesn't make much of a difference. Also is the FRACTAL DEFINE 7 a good case or should I move it back to a cheaper FRACTAL case.

If it fits in the budhet I'd definitely recommend upping to 3600mhz, should be a minimal change price wise but change how the build works a lot. And regarding case, the Define 7 is a lot more expensive for a case that has worse airflow. I'd keep the cheaper Fractal case!

Okay, so spoke to them, they can't transfer it so refunded it and I made a knew order with them on the phone, unfortunately that means a return to the start of the build time line but oh well. Yeah I've heard so many different things about the define 7. I guess the question is should I just get the define 7 or stick with a lower end case and extra case fans.

Fantastic! I think I'd still suggest a very similar build to what I suggested before. Only difference I'd make is case choice if you're going for quietness. I'm struggling a little bit case wise but I've decided on a Corsair 4000D Airflow as it gives great airflow and comes with 2 Corsair fans. If you wanted to add 2 more fans, you could add some PCS own brand fans for £9 which might not be the quietest or some thermaltake fans which are £22 for one or £43 for 2, but these will definitely be quiet. The price without any additional fans is £1,452 and that's the spec I've linked at the bottom of this post

looks good. I guess you've not had good experiences with the define 7 case, some people recommend it highly but others say it's got terrible cooling so not sure, that's the one I'm on for now. Only other differences are I got 3600mhz ram, and the mother board comes with wi-fi so I didn't get a separate card.

Oh and I also only have a generic 450W power supply just to save money and the configurator recommended it as a minimum.

When it comes to the Fractal Define 7, it definitely does have the best airflow of a 'silent' case. However, there are always compromises when it comes to cases designed for quietness. To get the best possible cooling solution for the Fractal, an all-in-one liquid cooler really needs to be used. A standard fan cooler is just going to be blowing warm air around the case whereas an AIO will have a much better time of it.
