so as you guys know the 780s are here! exciting times :) quick question will sli 780s that consist of 3gb vram be enough to run the latest games at max settings with hd texture packs at 5760 x 1080 - such as metro last light bf4 etc etc - with out using up all the memory - the last time I looked into video cards and the pc game seriously I was advised to get two 4gb cards but the 780 is just so tempting... :D ps: does anyone else have any plans to pick up this magical card?

and on a side note : I think I will be going with pc specialist with my build - just a little confused about after the first year of parts included in the warranty, if something goes wrong with a part will I have to get in touch the the supplier of the card or pc specialist and they do it for me? since most pc parts come with 3+ years warranty from the manufacturer. + it is just more convenient :p

3gb memory ram should be fine for surround. From previous threads PCS will contact the manufacturer for you, you could also consider upgrading the warranty to platinum or gold .

Considering how much you are spending I would definitely consider upgrading the warranty.

Just thought of anouther quick question for ya, I am not happy with the selections on "fan" choices pc specialist supply they seem to lean towards water cooling - if I was to buy the i7 3770k and the low profile ram - could I get the intel standerd cpu cooler - buy a noctua 2011 socket cpu cooler from amazon for £64 and fit the cpu cooler my self - how would this work with the warranty?? sorry for the questions just get nervous when I am ready to order.

You can replace parts and swap out items without affecting the warranty as far as I know. As long as the part you swap out doesn't cause an issue that is (ie if you fit your Noctua and it fails and your CPU is damaged due to overheating etc.). You could consider getting in touch with PCS to see if you could send in a Noctua for them to fit? That way at least you know it will have been fitted correctly?

Or just get a H100i :)

as amazing as the h100I is it is water in a box hovering over electronics lol :D maybe sending pcs the fan is a good idea.

Corsair's warranty is pretty ironclad for that kind of thing though. Yes in 3 years time once the warranty is up it might be an issue if it pops. But then the components in the rig will be (relatively) cheap for like-for-like stuff.

I'd definitely recommend it! Not had any issues with mine (yet... touches all wooden objects within reach).

Palit again like the 680s?? maybe someone who works with or closely to pc specialist can help?? since the office is allmost done and I am getting close to hitting that order button just want to finalize everything and get to know exactly what is going in my system.

PCS use other brands as well, though most commonly it's Palit.
To find out for sure you would probably need to contact them to see what they have in stock at time of building.
