If I amend my order will they make changes or will I have to do it.

Hello, my pc is currently in pre production and I just realised that I can get a much better mobo for just £7 extra.
If I try to amend my order it says something about order and delivery and I'm really confused.

If I change the motherboard will they deliver it to me or will PCD handle it?

Pre-production means they haven't started building it yet. You order is sat in a queue waiting its turn, and is where all orders spend most of their time.

Any amendments you make to the order will be implemented by PCS when they build it. :)

That I can't answer you, but PCS's phone lines are open to 8pm so I suggest you call them to discuss. It could be to do with ordering the system on finance? I'm not sure, call them and ask.

If you like, you could post up your full spec and the price, your budget, and a description of what you will be using the PC for. People can then suggest whether there are any other tweaks you could make to save money or improve performance.
