i7-7700k upgrade i7-8700k

I brought my PC from PC specialist about a year ago was just wondering is it worth upgrading my CPU to a i7-8700k ?

Probably not, since it also requires a new motherboard. You can't use an 8th Gen CPU in a 100 or 200 series motherboard.

Okay thanks for the reply i currently have the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO. Will that support it ?

Thanks much appropriated . Also i don't know if you can help me with how to clean the AIO cooler its really dusty on the radiator.
I have seen a youtube video on people putting the radiator underwater to get the dust off would that be okay ?

I would definitely not do that!
I take the fans of my radiators and use cans of compressed air to remove dust. I do this every month to keep on top of it.
