Hello guys!

I just ordered the following configuration system and I was wondering what do you think about it.
It's enough to say that I wanted the very best components for the 1800 £ budget and I think I have them. Nevertheless I would like to know what more experienced people in PC's think.

Cheers!

If spending that much on a PC you may as well get 3000MHz DDR4, given the potential returns in FPS vs % increase in cost of the build.

You might also consider the Define X1 pc on the review section http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/reviews/ (2nd one from the top), which is a pretty similar spec by £1499 due to the pre-set price:

It lacks the wifi and the bits and bobs, but you might persuade PCS to install a wifi card for the appropriate fee and keep the discount, or just fit one yourself/ buy the bits separately, and still be a lot of £ better off. :)

It's actually proven that the 3000 MHZ ddr is actually slower than a 2400 MHZ because the last has better CL latency, but gaming wise I think you can hardly see any changes.

As for the config I wanted a gaming desktop as that's the only thing I will do with it and I wanted to leave some room for a potential upgrade like an extra video card. That's why I got the 850W power supply instead of a 650W one and this also means I will get a quieter and cooler PC because the power supply won't be on full load. Also the overclocked I7 would be a nice thing but I do have the Turbo Boost already supplied by Intel so I think that's enough for me.
The wi-fi is a must because where I live I share a wireless router with other tenants and I am pretty sure I am not allowed to connect an ethernet cable from the router to my desktop.
I also wanted a DVD-Writer and that case doesn't support it unfortunately.

Thanks for the input anyway and I hope that there someone else with other opinions.

Incorrect. While latency is important, the overwhelmingly higher frequency more than makes up for it. According to their datasheets, the Fury has a CL of 14 while the Hyperx Savage has a CL of 15.

The extra frequency therefore makes it substantially faster. There's a handy table here: https://youtu.be/_WsfeuWI7mU?t=302

, but gaming wise I think you can hardly see any changes.
Beyond the theory, there are also benchmarks of gaming performance. While the exact gains vary from game to game, performance can be measures to increase - and not decrease - across the board, with certain games showing very significant gains (e.g. FO4).

Given the gains that the RAM would offer in the context of a £25 increase (1.4% increase to the cost of the build) it would not make much sense to not get the faster RAM as far as I can see.

If you want to be told that what you've picked will be a nice gaming machine, I'll oblige - it will be an awesome gaming machine. :) But you are wrong about the RAM.

Did you switch to the Define X1? It's by far the better value. It's an overclocked system too so will provide far more power than the stock variant. It has a better SSD installed, it's faster and just has better all round selection/setup (although the motherboard isn't QUITE as good).

If you're insistent on your original choice I would change to the Arctic thermal paste, it's just better paste regardless of whether you want to overclock or not.
