My circa 2012 Vortex III keeps shutting itself down randomly, I took it into a local pc repairers to get looked at, after 10 days of no contact from them I walked into the shop and took it back from them, they didn’t know what was wrong with it..possibly a component on the motherboard they said.
A quick call to PCS repair dept and they told me that they no longer have the motherboards for the VORTEX III and it would be difficult/expensive to do anything else with it. So, sadly, it’ll be going to an internet auction site shortly..
So, on Friday I saw the offer for the RECOIL II £1299 and ordered it. I thought it looked like a good deal and hopefully I haven’t been taken in by the flashing lights of the Black Friday sale!
17.3" Matte Full HD 144Hz Screen
Intel® Core™ i7-8750H Six Core Processor
16GB Corsair DDR4 RAM (2 x 8GB)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060
256GB Intel® 760p M.2 NVMe SSD
1TB Seagate HDD
Hopefully they’ve got tons of these made up and they can just ship straight out, two weeks without playing ‘war thunder’ is driving me insane, just makes me realise how crap TV is!
I’m also looking forward to playing Battlefield V. And the free call of duty game that comes with it.
This will be my first time with a SSD.. I am having the OS put on there as recommended by PCS, as for other things like games etc. Should I put them on the 1TB Seagate HDD or put them onto the SSD. Do games run better from the SSD? I dunno, like I said it’s the first time with SSD.
