I recently haggle my self a new Virgin media deal. it was based on the player fity deal. it's wins all round i pay less get more. and the proof

Oh yes - I was on the old "big kahuna" package, limited to 100mb connection, had to pay for a second box and Tivo fees - total was £140pm
Complained to VM as to what I was paying them (by going through to thinking of leaving option). Now on their VIP package with 2 V6 boxes,
300mb connection (actually is 350mb), Cost now £96

(being physically disabled, I do make use of the full package)

Not exactly. My ISP started offering a new plan that was basically what I already had at a cheaper rate. It was freely advertised on the site but if you were an existing customer you wouldn't think to check.

They agreed to move me to the new plan and give a discount to account for the months I could have had this contract.

It's lways worth politely arguing your case, and if you're refused there are other providers out there.
