How does this look for a new 7yr PC (my last one lasted 8)

Currently 1080p monitor but likely to go 1440 in due course, plus I need a beefy CPU/GPU for video editing/rendering/Topaz AI etc.

I'm very likely to use a USB C hard drive box like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Y3WDHLD/

for traditional hard drive storage as I have a few WD Blacks from my last PC hanging around.

Not terribly worried about internal RGB stuff as that side of the PC is facing a wall, and only the front fans would be visible.

Hi there! I'd begin by having a read of the thread linked below. Intel are a long way behind AMD at the moment, especially at the top end and especially for CPU bound tasks- An AMD System would have this beat in just about every aspect. Unless you have software limitations that require Intel, I'd highly recommend a switch to team red.

Here's an equivalent-ish AMD build. I say "ish" because it's actually only the middle of AMD's range whereas it's the top of Intel's. The AMD build would still win by every metric, though, which shows why Intel is such a poor choice right now. It's also a big improvement in case, cooling, power supply, storage and, above all, graphics card, which is now very important for video editing.

I'll clarify on the storage, I'll primarily be using a USB C Hard drive docking station, so I only need a good SSD for system and a basic HDD on board.
