How to speed down the Fan

hi. i bought a votex IV from PCS and have been using it for nearly 2 months now. im quite happy with it but there is just a small problem.i notice when i run intensive apps or games and the Gpu start to get hot. the fan speeds up (The Fn + 1 fan) which is really nice.however when i quit the game and my GPU is idling at 35-40 degrees for a while. 4 CPUs each around 45 degrees. the fan will keep running at full speed ( this is after 10 mins after i quit the game and just browse the web). hitting Fn + 1 will not do anything. i want to ask are there anyother way that i can slow down the fan or make it automatically slow down when my laptop isnt getting hot. because its actually quite loud when the fan is running at full speed. thank you :D

I'd be quite cautious here, slowing down the fan may increase CPU and GPU temps exponentially.

The fan issue is when the laptop is on idle, once the game is close and no other applications are running the fans are too noisy.

A BIOS issue maybe? My Vortex III slows its fans almost instantly after quitting a game, it is the previous gen though. Maybe give tech support a call and explain the problem. If you could download and use software to do it, it doesn't really help the root cause, it'd just override it. Worth finding out what's going on perhaps.

So you can see if tech support is busy: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/call-waiting/

Mine does slow the fans after a game is close but it is not "silent" as when you just turn it on.

Mine goes pretty much back to silent. Its an odd thing to have differ between the III and IV, I was clutching at straws a bit to be honest when I suggested BIOS. :)

hhm so no official reply or fix for this so far?
i can understand the fan is going to speed up if the cpu and gpu start to get over a certain temperature. but it just doesnt make sense if my laptop is at as low of a temperature as it could be while idling and those fans are stilling blasting...
guess ill see what pcs have to say... been too busy all day to contact them >< .

the whole fan profile is broken at best.
example. when i play fc3 the fan will speed up to fn+1 levels when GPU temps are around 77C and drop to around 75C and stay there until i quit.
but playing bioshock the temps will go to 77-80c and fn+1 fan levels will never get enabled at all.

The fans go to full speed on any game with mine, it is just the issue of slowing them down once I close any game.

I haven't no, I just restart the system if I need to but I also use the laptop occasionally. I assume you use it more often than me and it is more of an inconvenience for you.
